Thing 217: Jonathan Adler … adds his interior design and home furnishing to the Ave.!

Sunday, November 13th, 2011 By

Meet Johnathan Adler, the newest addition to Greenwich Avenue.  Soon our lovely town will be home to one of Jonathan’s fabulous interior design stores, devoted to bring craft, style, joy and grooviness to your home!  It is exciting to have our town host one of his stores because it not only provides interior design advice, but also serves as a resource for wedding registry, pottery, bedding, wall decor, furniture and lighting. Best yet, after viewing some of the rooms Jonathan has designed, you have the ability to “buy” a room if you fall in love…Yes, instead of going through the difficult task of putting a room together on your own or piece by piece with a designer, you can simply say – yes – that is the room and I want – and it will be yours!  These packages makes Jonathan unique and Greenwich again, home to another highly desirable designer.

Currently the store is under construction on the Avenue and hiring, which is also a great sign for our town.  New employers and fashion icons are continuously coming to Greenwich for its ideal location and wonderful residents who support the local shops.  The store also provides Greenwich with another store option for interior designers who are looking for new wholesale partners and high class hospitality gifts.  Our financial focused companies in town, such as hedge funds and asset managers will also find John Adler’s store a great place to visit because of its strong corporate giving program, which makes holiday employee and client giving, easy and enjoyable.

Greenwich grows constantly with the up and coming designers, restaurants and of course lovely housing with its top notch architecture.  To learn more about our new addition to the avenue please visit: http://www.jonathanadler.com/

Thing 216: France in Greenwich? ah, oui!!!

Thursday, October 20th, 2011 By

Versailles ….. yum is the first thing to say. Located on Greenwich Avenue, this French bistro is spot on with its cuisine, atmosphere and decor.  Just take a look at the image below…this quiche is just one of the many offerings each day at our local bistro.

Each day, fresh breakfast pastries hit the avenue with a smell of freshness and flavor that make one run from the train. Around lunch you will find the bistro filled with locals who come to chat with one another over a lovely lunch of crepes, salads, delicate sandwich and soups leaving with a feeling of satisfaction one can find in France itself.  The reliability and regularity of this eatery is comforting and so is the decor. Small tables with delicate tiles and outdoor tables make Versailles not only a destination in France, but in Greenwich as well. Make sure to stop by and look at their website:  versaillesgreenwich.com

Watch out!  Greenwich Avenue is soon to be the next home for the world’s BEST frozen yogurt!  Our town is home to some of the best gelato and now the best frozen yogurt as well.  In addition to lovely homes, good schools, tasty restaurants and fabulous shopping we are now home to even more delicious delicacies.   In  just a few weeks, the new store will open to all who enjoy their sweets every now and then OR every day!  So, what makes pinkberry so special?!

Unlike other frozen yogurts, Pinkberry uses hormone free milk and live active cultures, which make it good for you and good tasting!  All of the fruit used in the yogurt and as topping is cut FRESH each DAY!  In order to receive the National Yogurt Association’s Live & Active Cultures seal that Pinkberry holds highly, frozen yogurt is required to contain at least 10 million cultures per gram. Pinkberry significantly exceeds the required amount and contains billions of live and active cultures per serving. All certified yogurts must also contain at least two live and active cultures, lactobacillus bulgaricus and streptococcus thermophilus, which convert pasteurized milk to yogurt during the fermentation process. Pinkberry’s Swirly Goodness® not only contains these two cultures, but in California also contains lactobacillus acidophilus, bifid bacterium, and lactobacillus paracasei – providing you with more live and active cultures (New York and other states may vary)!!!!!  How fantastic?  We now have healthy and delicious all in one place – AND – close to home.
